My main issue is that I made 3 changes at once so it is hard to tell how much each contributed to the sound, except that I know my tube sockets were noisy and unreliable. Having fixed that (except that I need to go back under the sheets with it) it cleaned up the sound so much that I can't really hear the cables.
The reason I need to open the amp up again is that one channel completely dropped, and it is the one where I had issues with the solder pads. I'll hard wire the pins to the next component to fix it. Luckily this board came with full documentation with layouts.
