We originally got the audiodharma Cable Cooker in 2003. Ever since then, it has treated a steady stream of cables. Had these cables been new, their retail price would total over $1.2M. 90% do not give me permission to blog about their wares. That explains why my reviews tend to be of/from the same audiophiles and brands. Although owners understandably want their cables back ASAP, I do get to try most in my own systems.
In that late February 1998 visit to Brad & Ford's house, one of the last songs Scylla played was La Bouche's "You Won't Forget Me." Scylla and I asked Brad & Ford if they wanted to go for dinner. They politely declined.
Scylla and I then went to Piedmont Avenue. She wasn't hungry yet, so she popped her head into Piedmont Springs. Since she was having her period, I asked, "Are you sure?"
Possibly because it (a) had rained earlier, and (b) wasn't nighttime yet, Piedmont Springs did have a hot tub available. That was what Scylla wanted (she didn't want to sit in a sauna, and get the towel and/or bench all bloody). With the hot tub helping her cramps, Scylla asked what I thought of our visit to Brad & Ford's house.
I thought that, in both their house and mine, the Kimber KS-1130 was competent, professional, solid. But it didn't allow the music to excite me. If anything, I liked the KCAG even better in Brad's system, than my own. Again, as an audiophile, I do my best thinking, while at the hot tub & sauna spas. I would then lay plans, to get Tara Labs ISM The One and XLO Limited Edition.
Scylla and I then had dinner at Fentons.
