In an earlier post I wrote of success with this Chinese cable. Though I terminated it myself (and that's a bit awkward with this cable) it is also available terminated, I think. It seems to be made like the Kimber, though it could be that the weave is not identical. A terminated 2M pair of Kimber comes in at $798. Unterminated the knockoff comes in at less than a tenth of that. Unlike some other cables from China, it is not counterfeit; what I have seen doesn't call it Kimber.Danny Richie of GR-Research uses Kimber knockoffs in his loudspeaker cable kit. As part of the kit he supplies a rope of some sort to stuff inside the cable making it thicker (and a bit shorter) and effectively changing the relationship among the woven strands. At least one youtube reviewer agrees that the rope changes the SQ for the better.
I stuffed mine with a 1/2" cotton rope and I agree. It makes a good difference.
So there you are, another piece of audio/cable wizidry. Go figure!
