That's great | bad news.
As someone whom has in the past upgraded the binding post on both speakers | amps with either Cardas pure copper or WBT types, I usually have tried to buy different brands and types of both standard banana or BFA type plugs.
It seems in your case you need to try either the Viborg or Monosaudio type plugs with the tension bar placed along their side, as they meant to expand or tighten when inserted into said standard 4-6mm binding post, and being that both are much cheaper than the Aeco, might prove to be a logical choice.
Do look into the Edge Audio Chrome Plated Banana Plugs as well, as to my eyes they to seem to be extremely well built.
