I'd bet that you're right about the cable performance. I can't wait for it to get here. It sounded so good when I got it hooked up, now I'm wondering what made the difference, the Burson headphone amp, the balanced cables from the headphone amp to the DAC, the balanced output to the preamp? Time will tell.
