I thought it was okay

For the original Part 2, ACS was my writing partner. For Part 3, which will cover more history, another Cal grad, Scylla, is helping me.

I am gathering my notes, about (a) which components were used with the Kimber PowerKord, and (b) what other powercords were used on said components. Back then, we found the PowerKord to work better with some components over others. Personally, I last had a PowerKord in 1999, when one was used, to good effect, on an AudioPrism Debut power amp.

Readers have been emailing me their experiences with the PowerKord. Some also had other Kimber products, so I just kick back, absorb, and enjoy.

I'm waiting for Scylla to provide some photos. She and I are bouncing ideas back and forth. But we're also bringing in old friends, to corroborate or refute our recollections.

Anyway, by 1996, I had at least half a dozen of that PowerKord, but some had the then-new Watt-Gate connectors. At least on the gear we had then, the Watt-Gate plugs allowed the gear to sound more stable and resolving.

A separate post will cover how this old PowerKord compares to my current benchmark powercords.
