We were actually in Honolulu, when Fates Warning's Inside Out hit the Tower Records, which used to be on Makaloa, near Keeaumoku. Don't get this original CD, which is compressed. Back in SF, I listened to it more in my bedroom headphone system, versus the main living room stereo. And of course, we took it with us, on road trips. Be sure to check out "Island In The Stream." And "Afterglow" seemed fitting for Hawaii's sunsets.
The 2012 reissue reveals that the sonics are actually cleaner, and not as compressed, as we were led to believe. That's the main CD. The second CD has five live tracks, followed by seven demos and previously unreleased material. The DVD has live footage.
