RE: Tin plated copper wire vs bare copper wire?

No, I haven't, Lawrence. I'm very familiar with tinned plated copper conductors for audio purposes, though.

It all counts, in my experience. Tin plated conductors sound different than bare copper wire, as well as different than silver plated copper wire. That said, cable length can make a big impact on performance.

Conductor plating is in the same family as connector plating, so all can be chosen based on component, system, and/or listener dependent issues. One man's coloration is another man's sonic bliss. Other user dependent cable/conductor options are the base metal, solid vs. stranded, the type of dielectric, geometry, and aggregate gauge, not to mention the type of speaker connector, or none at all.
