Odyssey Audio Stratos has an msrp of $1070 new. Have not heard it myself but user and professional reviews rate it highly. Supposedly bests many high priced solid state designs and has just a trace of solid state character in the upper midrange, at least on resolving systems. www.odysseyaudio.comUsed Aragon 8008BB go for around your budget. They are very solid and very good sonically for their original price. This amp may not work well in a system with soft or dark character, nor driving inefficient speakers that also have complex crossovers (i.e. Thiel).
