RE: MGIIIA listening - reversing the ribbons ...

I have a feeling that this is the main reason why Magnepan put the magnets/screens facing the front on most of their speakers. Pretty easy to poke a hole in the mylar if the open side faces forward, and with the ribbons, those are strong magnets that are going to suck any stray metal object right into the ribbon tweeter if there is nothing to block it going in. On the T-IV the midrange driver faces opposite, with the mylar in the front to squeeze as much efficiency out of it as possible, I suspect.
