MGIIIA listening to the mylar versus magnets

As standard the MGIIIA is configured with the magnets facing the listener. In his MGIIIA tweaks AndyR proposes swapping the panels left to right and flipping them so that the panels are turned front to back and the mids are next to the ribbons.
Before going down this path I also noted that the rear of the ribbons also appears less occluded than the front. So does it make more sense to swap speakers front to back and reverse the driver polarities?
Your thoughts and guidance are as always appreciated.
