It's on the way from EBAY. $100 plus I think $25 shipping. Cosmetically in very good shape and seller claims it "pulls in stations".

Pics show the stereo light lit anyway. So we'll see...

FM3 will remain my ownly tube tuner. The 112B manual gives very detailed alignment instructions that do not require specialized test instruments, and it has mutlipath outputs for scopes, which I have, so that will be interesting also.

So lucky I have very good signal from local classical station, so it makes these tuner experiments worthwhile.

So far the all-around winner is the Sony ST-J75 however the bass is a just a bit lacking in that tuner compared to the Pioneer F90.

I wonder what are the chances we will see a revival of quality FM stereo radio as we have unexpectedly seen in the last decade for vinyl?

Probably not likely but you never know...

 I have a rebuilt and aligned LT-110B that I use in my office system. It has 9 tubes! Enjoy.

 I thought about seeking out a tubed Scott, but I have a Dynaco FM-3 restoral project already, so I figured to try a solod state Scott to avoid any risk of tube hassles.

I am listening to the 112B as I type this. It sounds the best of all my tuners. However my choice classical station - 89.7 KNLV - is a bit too weak at 550 watts and 29 miles away- even with my 5 element yagi antenna and line of sight to the transmiiter - to provide hiss-free fm stereo to the Scott. So I am listening in mono.

Probably it could use an alignment and that might help the stereo reception.

After just an afternoon of listening however, I can say that that the Scott sounds better - even in mono - than any other tuner I have (Pioneer F90,Sony ST-J75,slightly modded Sony XDR-F1HD).

From bass to mids to treble, the Scott sounds great. Midrange to die for, Bass is solid, weighty and deep, treble sweet and extended without sibilance.

I guess I will be listening in mono at least until I get the Dynaco restoral completed...
