When I got my 3.6's I pulled the fuses from the tweeters, listened to the result, then tried pulling the midrange fuses (putting the tweeters back on line) and listened.
There's no way that a blown fuse could be accepted as "sounding fine".
Follow Ups:
Second part...
Like the dealer states: he can't tell if the tweeters are working or not, but he could hear the difference the fuses made. Ok.He can't even figure out the difference between the fuse and the tweeter.

Just confirmed my guess!!
Hey, at least he has a dealer that makes house calls!!
Wow, that's cheaper than what it cost me to buy two replacements w/core return for my speakers. The shipping (round trip) was $190 and the ribbons were $300 IIRC. His dealer would be making a house call and installing for free, as well.
Funny that he didn't notice the lack of high notes, maybe his ears lost their ability to hear the ribbons before they failed.
3.7i's sound dull? Kind of hard to believe but another set of Maggies that have been hacked so who knows. My old 3.5R's totally stock with no delam issues sound terrific so no way his should be dull but then again his wife and son said so. Wonder what he is driving them with maybe a Radio Shack 20 WPC receiver?
And a dealer that makes house calls? Like old school Doctors that come to you. This is exactly what gives legit companies a bad name when this owner should be looking in his own mirror.
Thank you very much Roger 👍
