Just done a bit of a bike overhaul.
I've finally submitted to old man gearing- I've installed a medium cage derailleur and switched from 11-28 cassette to 11-32.
New chains.
And Challenge Strada Pro 27mm tyres.
People told me the Challenges are a challenge to fit.
Holy Crap! I've got thumb blisters ;-(

I'm stuck in a time warp. I rode tubulars up until about 8 years ago. Now I ride on clinchers with tubes, that are low maintenance, and allow me to change a flat on the road with no levers in 5 minutes. I still carry a frame-fit pump on my 2 custom steel bicycles!
I'm sure you're enjoying the new gearing. If it's hilly where you are, maybe try a 12-speed, compact double. You'll be way faster up hills than with an 11-32. Seriously, it's the best thing I ever did after changing saddles from what I used for 40 years.
Challenge tyres are legendary for being hard to fit, but they will stretch and loosen up. The old Challenges I removed were "no lever" tyres.
I'm old school. Frame pump and 1999 titanium. But the compact crankset and 32 tooth cog is good. There are only a hand full of flat sides in Sydney.

But never blisters.
My bike's gonna need a new chain soon. I waxed the current chain before I put it on, squirted it with Silca drip wax every 200-300 miles, got over 5,000 miles on it.
The blissful counterstroke-a considerable new message.
Wax is good.
I just degreased 2 new chains and hot waxed them.
I'm using up the last bag of Molten Speed Wax left in my stash and then I use that up I might change to the Silca hot Wax.

reelsmith's axiom: Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
Still blisters!
Pretty nice tyres though!
