Capacitance is 22pf/foot, so 1 meter length works good.
Your tonearm has the cartridge signal traveling within; the Mogami uses a twisted pair within a shield. The shield is your ground connection and the RCA would have the twisted pair to its connections. This is the exact method that should be used when using a balanced source (like a phono cartridge) to drive a single-ended input.
