Paul:You might also like Carly Simon's "No Secrets" DVD-A, or the "Nitty Gritty Surround" DVD-A from AIX records, which features some very nice vocals by Jennifer Warnes and others (and truly incredible sound quality).
I also have the Joni Mitchell, but have not been quite as favorably impressed with the sound quality. What DVD-A player are you using (I'm planning an upgrade)?

Ah! I actually have Hotel California and No Secrets coming on their way from the US right now, so should have them in a week or so.I have thought upon getting Nitty Gritty, so I think you have made that choice a certainty for me – thanks :-)
My DVD-A player is the Toshiba SD900e, a machine which truly delights me with both DVD-A and CD playback.
I guarantee you won't be disappointed. This is by far one of the best dvd-a's I've heard to date, but then I'm an old Dirt Band fan. First off the disc wasn't just mixed to 24/96, but was recorded 24/96. In addition, what you'll hear in the surround mix, as to the position of the instraments, is exactly how they were positioned during the recording. You are actually right in the middle of the band. Kind of like a personal jam session where a few friends brought their guitars, mandolin, fiddle, and banjo over to your house and sat around the living room singing and playing together. Not just mixed to surround, but recorded in surround. A totally amazing recording. Check out the following write up from their website. You can purchase direct from them or through Amazon or DvdEmpire.
Thanks for the extra info. It will be in my next batch order ;-)Can't wait to hear it ...
