Joe, you recommended I jump terminals 1 /2 and 1/9. I am using your linestage board and do I just place the jumpers across the terminals with the wires still connected or disconnected them? if disconnected can i leave the wires on terminal 1 and just remove terminals 2 and 9

Normally you could just place a jumper across the respective inputs however with the original wires in place this test will not disclose a ground loop hum. Therefore if your hum is partially the result of a ground loop then this test will not reveal that as a source.

Therefore I'd recommend that you remove the wires from those inputs and replace them with a jumper to properly conduct the test.
