... It is a wonderful estate.
Being hidden in a valley is hardly the "look-at-me" BS that green tin is hating about.
The place is full of personal touches and designs from Robin himself, of course one needs to have an open mind to appreciate such beauty.
The wonderful thing about a free society is not everyone wants the same thing.
Gosh, isn't that a shock?

Follow Ups:
Most well-off neighborhoods don't encourage hoi polloi drive-bys, though one wouldn't expect you to know it.
The cliché about everyone wanting different things means, to you, one should have no opinions about anything.
Ridiculous.
As is that comical "estate."
... Full of ignorance, as usual.
Williams didn't commission the home to impress other people. Didn't you know this? Duh!
Also this arrogance;
Most well-off neighborhoods don't encourage hoi polloi drive-bys, though one wouldn't expect you to know it.
I will bet you a stale biscuit I personally know more wealthy people, been invited into their mansions and know their lifestyles much better than than you do ol' son. But of course, you are too arrogant to have any inkling someone might know more about something than you do. While you read books and think you know something, some of us are doing it whilst you are reading about it. It's ok, I don't expect you to understand my reference.
There are huge differences between people who build things to impress other people and those who build things for their own enjoyment. It is easy to spot the difference. However given your comments you are obviously totally ignorant differences even exist.
Then this ignorance;
The cliché about everyone wanting different things means, to you, one should have no opinions about anything.
Ridiculous.
There is nothing cliché about my comments at all. Given you are not wealthy and your banal stereotyping shows your ignorance about why people build mansions, one wouldn't expect you to understand. But that won't stop you deluding yourself you do.
I have seen your comments about cooking appliances & TVs, I note you didn't enlighten me about cars though. I can't wait for your insight about those of us who own more than one home? Care to give us your opinion? LOL
You're a funny little fellow Tin, don't change.
