Well... You're only as good as your weakest link. I have been away from Hi-fi for awhile and I am in the upgrade mode. I have recently move, I needed a bigger place to store my junk. Anyway, I've got a dedicated listening room now. It is 14.5x19.5x8, it is in the basement, so concrete floors and walls. Interior walls are staggered 2X4 with double 5/8 sheetrock all around including ceilings. Separate 100 amp sub panel and earth ground and so on... This also doubles as a studio.... rather this is a studio that doubles as a listening room. As far as, sound of the system it is OK. I've got, a Mod 3, Muse 2, EAD T-1000, VPI 3 (will be replaced w/Gyrodec or Basis) w/SME 309 (soon to be replaced) Thiel 3.6 and Parasound 2200 II. Cables Tara, DH LAbs, Cardas, Goertz, Apogee, Canares, etc. DIYs, 15w 6c33c-b SE by Borbely, DYnaudio, Audax, Scanspeak, etc. I listen to my DIY speakers rather than the Thiel. Helmhotz resonators, quadratic diffusers (prime 7,11,19). Testing gear, mics, etc. the recording stuff - but that's another story. Was going to get a Atma-Sphere M60, but my SS Parasound died, so change in plans. I'm currently auditioning Bellas 150A and Monarchy SE100 deluxe. I'll get the M60s later. Don't want to blow my budget. Well, that's the short of it.
You have some great stuff and a decent room. Assuming you have played around with speaker placement and are happy with that, and you are content with the quality of speaker cables & interconnects, then you are left with buying a better phono section or new Turntable. But the Mod 3 has a good phono section according to the reviews I have read. I guess you are right new TT time.
