While several of us have decried the quality of his "Thinking of Home", and I've despaired of the shortcomings of "Dippin'", Hank's "Straigh No Filter" is very, very good. Stronger than it's conflation of 2 different sessions suggest.Listening to it right now, and wishing all jazz dates were at least this good.

There must be no ballads on the album. Haha, just kidding. I like this one a lot, too. And to think it wasn't released until the mid-80s, originally recorded 1963 and 1965.
Even the slower tempo tunes cook.
