Somebody must have recorded every fart. The amount of taped music that keeps popping up might stretch for a moon shot.A lot of it is good. Just passed over at the previous release times. Now that they don't play much anymore (dead), the stored stuff is deemed marketable. Other biggies like Ellington must have a Fort Knox type storage unit someplace.

I find it hard to believe too. I'd think at least twice for much of it. And although I don't completely share your low opinion of Davis, I'm not losing any sleep over the non-release/reissue of the material most seem to be dying for.
I'm listening to the Proper Essential Benny Goodman boxset at this very moment and LOVING it. Haven't seriously listened to any BG in ages and had forgotten how GREAT this stuff is! As great as Miles, or Trane, only...different...
