In Reply to: Only problem, is Warner has all the must have DVD-A titles.. posted by snaggs on April 10, 2003 at 07:17:08:
in the Audiobahn? You seem to feel that posting constant criticisms about DVD-A still makes you a supporter of the format. Why bother? Do you think you are going to change someone's mind? Why not relax and listen to some music, life is too short to be trying to change peoples perceptions. I am sure you can live with the belief that anyone that supports DVD-A must be mentally challenged. There are actually many people that support both formats. Most of them hang out in the Audiobahn because the highway is not very friendly to the same criticisms you foist on DVD-A. Its your life, continue your "crusade" if you must but you really are wasting very valuable time. Its nice of you to make the effort, thanks for trying to convert us, just no thanks. I already own a SACD player, I just don't see it as the be all end all format. Sorry if that upsets you.

Otherwise I can buy them. It is not criticsing DVD-A to simply raise this point that I want to know what titles are watermarked.
if you hear anything. Then maybe we can find out if it's watermarked. Would be a good test of your ears, rather than having someone tell you what is watermarked. Perhaps you have to have someone tell you what to hear versus just trusting your own? If you hear a watermark, I'll buy the disc off of you, same price in Cdn. $, which, last time I checked is still worth more than the Aussie $. How about it? I am sure many of us would be interested on your findings.
Please advise..
...you know what Verance sounds like, in the 'strong' setting.
to compare it to the master tape. Why should you expect to have a master tape to try and hear a watermark? Do you have master tapes for all the music you listen to for comparison purposes? Wow, you must be really connected!! You seem to be opposite to most people. I think most of us would be upset if we could hear a watermark on any music, you seem to be more upset that you can't!! LOL!!!
You're making an issue out of nothing. We all know you've spend hours listening to DVD-As hoping - praying - for a shred of evidence that watermarks are audible. Still looking for the holy grail in your all-consuming 'DVD-Audio Must Die' crusade?Did you get beat up as a kid alot or something? Is that why you're trying to pick fights now?
