Either you're truly interested in J-Pop, or you think it's absolutely hilarious that i'm of Japanese descent...I'm not making a move on that until it's clarified... Based on comments in the past that have been flung about, I need to ask.
"Either you're truly interested in J-Pop, or you think it's absolutely hilarious that i'm of Japanese descent"OK, I don't know why you state the latter. Of all the places on the Internet AA seems to not have any racist content that I can remember. Do you think otherwise?
But anyway, I'm into groups/singers like Namie Amuro, etc. I'm looking for hi-rez material in DVD-A and/or SACD. Also, I wonder if the hi-rez Japanese releases have more songs (bonus tracks) + artwork like the CD counterparts released overseas. Any suggestion on good places to order this stuff as well?
Thanks.
And other inmates probably remember. :\ One incident that was rather blatant. That's why I tried to phrase it as lightly as possible... I wasnt sure and wasn't about to go assume.
In any case, you'll find pretty much everything you want on hmv.co.jp, and their shipping to the states is relatively fast. (Faster than anything from Germany or Britain, at least.) From what I've seen, the SACD releases are SACD releases, and overseas versions don't have any more artwork or tracks than domestic releases, as far as SACD goes... But there's a very good amount of J-Pop on SACD there, I haven't seen so much on DVD-A, though... Probably has a lot to do with Sony Music Japan...
Canto-pop? The floodgate has opened.
I am even considering buying the SACD from Joey Yung....Sony is set to release Samantha Lam on SACD this month.
Wait a minute, Samantha Lam on SACD is from Sony???It will be hybrid, right?
The HK SACDs are coming out faster I can earn money.
I go look for the second Sam Hui pack you recommended. Do the 2 CDs and bonus DVD also contain audio remastered using DSD like the first pack?
Doesn't sound like the CDs has been remastered with DSD. The packaging doesn't say so either. But it's still good. The Samantha Lam SACD will be a single-layer stereo SACD; no hybrid from HK Sony (yet).
