should Warner be worried when a Sony Playstation gets damaged by a Sony Music DualDisc?
Follow Ups:
You are hopeless...Warner Music should be worried about the current and future announcements from manufacturers about DualDisc compatibility problems in their equipment. No doubt they are.
Do you understand that or do I have to break out the crayons...
Isn't Sony is one of the company's scheduled to put out Dual Discs? If so, it seems like Sony is shooting themselves in the foot here...Also, I think Frank's point is valid. It seems to me that Sony is shooting themselves in the foot by admitting their hardware can't handle discs whose thickness is in spec. Why should anybody buy their hardware if its not designed properly?
...the DualDisc format does not appear to adhere to thickness specifications according to my measurements .Specifications for a dual-layer disc are: 1.20 + 0.30 or 1.20 - 0.06 mm.

It seems my T2 se DVD-18 is out of spec then.
It's much thicker.

Sony Music is a participant in DualDisc. Sony Electronics is a whole different company. It's not just Sony Electronics who announced compatibility issues with DualDisc. Pioneer also has as will others shortly. The burden is not on the manufacturers of the players but on Warner and the DVD Forum. Keep in mind that there are no known compatibility issues with 'standard' DVD and Redbook CD in any of the players that are mentioned in the DualDisc compatibility announcements. The problem is the non-compliant Redbook implementation and thickness issues of DualDisc.
According to the DVD Forum, it's an RIAA "format." Warner is just one of the players.
Too many people do that here. It's not Warner's exclusive format. Most of the big players have signed up for it. Warner's just the first to get anything out.
