hows that Sanborn disc, no one has left feedback on how it sounds in Hi-rez.
Follow Ups:
I have only listened to stereo. BTW: I am not happy with the performance of "Harlem Noctourne". He changed the chords so that it now has an ugly strange progression instead of the beautiful A\minor D\minor E7 the original had. But good music for party, and VERY well recorded. Bass sounds a little congested, but it could be my new speakers need placement fix.
Redbook versions of Sanborn albums that I have were very dry and overly bright sounding for my tasts. Are you able to compare the DVD's to the redbooks and their sounds?
I like the music he does, just cannot stand the sonics that are presented on the redbooks. Maybe I just have not purchased the right redbooks :) And my brain is not functioning right today (today?) to remember the albums names I am refering to.
the RBCD of "Songs from the Night Before" and "Inside", both very good. His latest Timeagain is a little on the bright side so that's why I had asked about it to see how the DVD-A version is. I will be picking it up soon and then comparing them.
I don't like David Sanborn. I am just "jonesing" for high-rez while my SACD player spends week seven in the Wooster factory. But the selection is so paltry I am now buying anything that moves.
....even on my stock 563A player.
.
Thanks PdL, I'm going to pick it up even though I already have the RBCD, maybe I'll give that one away.
