Follow Ups:
Circuit city has these dvd-a's on sale for $13.99 w/ free shipping...
You can get them like I did at buydvdnow.com $15.28 each! I have a Pioneer Elite series universal player. I hope it works on that one!
Shouldn't the Self Title one with The Loner, then the one with "Down BTR" be 1 and 2?Also, did you catch the dreaded:
"It should also be noted that all three titles were produced using the latest MEI/Sonic DVD-Audio authoring package, and therefore their high-resolution content will be unplayable on the Pioneer DV-563a in its current form. See related news story for more details."
These are part of the infamous "missing six" which are the three here (On The Beach, American Stars and Bars, Hawks and Doves) and Re-Act-or. These four (now known as he missing four) were finally put out on cd last year, and were slated to all be released on DVD-A (Re-Act-or has been delayed due to artwork/video menu stuff). The other two of the six are still truly missing from cd or any other digital medium, Journey Through the Past and Time Fades Away (which may still be my favorite Neil album). I would VERY much like to hear a hi-rez stereo mix of Time Fades Away. Wow!So, anyway, the "first three" means the first of the missing batch.
Yup, saw the 563 story and sent some additional info to Stuart Robinson about the specs situation, perhaps we will hear more about that in the near future. One should note that the only brand that seems to be problem-free at the moment is Panasonic.

Picked up On The Beach and American Stars and Bars. Both sound great as expected but would love to see the rest of the back Catalog:Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere,After The Goldrush,Tonite's The Night,Zuma,Decade,Comes A Time,Rust Never Sleeps etc.I read that it has been reported Neil's archived the WHOLE back catalog on DVD-A so I just wish he/Warners would release them all at once in stereo.
I personnally have a sweet spot for Harvest Moon, but I know it's not a favourite with Neil Young fansBest
I have a sweet spot for the Unplugged album.Would love to hear that on DVD-A.
