My DV-563 will not play the 24/192 stereo mixes of the DVD-audio titles that i have tried. Makes a nasty crackling noise.
Follow Ups:
I have the same problem - noise coming from the centre speaker on 24/192 stereo DVD-Audio. This seems to be a common problem with the 563a, but only if your speakers are set to 'small'. I've seen similar complaints on other boards.
I have two Pioneer 563-A players. The stock one I use for video, and
my APL Hi-Fi player I use in my stereo system. BOTH players play my
24/192 DVD's, with no "nasty crackling noises." I suspect you have a problem with your machine.
Hello billbarc,I know this is a bit off-topic in the thread, but can you provide a few comments (or more :) on the APL HiFi modded player for DVD-Audio playback?
Best
