Grofe - Grand Canyon Suite. A 48/24 bit recording. Bournemouth Symphony. Under the American Classics banner. Nice to hear more North American composers. Perhaps he is not as well know but I find the music a nice change of pace from the true European classical composers. Definitely hints of less formal music, in some phrases, there seems to be hints of broadway brashness in it. Good dynamics, melodies and rythmn. I recommend it. Again a little different but worth getting!!

We'll see how long DVD-A lasts. They had a poll on their site recently and it was clear SACD was the winner.
Great recording, nice performance. Hate the music. It was a trial to listen to the whole thing. Kitsch.
There are so many worthier discs in Naxos's American Classics series.
