I tried these out after I dumped by stock Sovteks, I rolled some JANPhillips, which knowone seems to like but they sounded pretty good in my Pre. The Mullards are a tad warm, very detailed, airy, es very good bass response, but a tad noisy. I have also used some Russian 6922's which also sound pretty good but microphonic esp compared to the Mullards. Of all 4 types of tubes I have tried I like the Mullards the best. Next Ei tubes are on the list. BTW, the JAN's are great but really microphonic...I dampened my pre really well so thats not an issue anymore...also the JANs have really good punchy bass. The Mullards bass on the other hand is deep, full and very tube like which is good in my book too. Just another reason why rolling tubes is so much fun.

Product Weakness: a little noisy
Product Strengths: Full detailed sound, a tad warm, very good bass, very musical
