The Mark Levinson 380S preamp is one of the best preamps I have had the pleasure to own. I have used tube preamps for the most part, now after 15 years I have found a solid state preamp the does what my tubes did and added more detail and dynamics. I now have the best of both worlds.I do not change equipment a lot, so I guess you could say I stick with what sounds right until I hear a real improvement, this preamp is a real improvement over past preamps. I am happy I purchased this unit, I just wish it cost less, but you get what you pay for. This unit is a 10 out of a possible 10.
One negative get rid of the power cord that comes with the unit, it is horrible, go with the Analysis Plus power cord and interconnects & speaker cable, you will be in musical paradise.
