I tried the Cardas Cross IC and the Quadlink 5, both sounded good but the smoothness was artifical to me...I knew my gear did not sound like that and I was listening to the cable. Low were ok with both but a little bit tight.On the Kimber side I went up the the Select 1011, which again had a very good sound but cost a whole lot more than the AQ King Cobra. The Silver streak did not impress me and the HERO seemed rolled off in both the highs and the deep lows.
These results were in my system and I do realize that a synergy is what makes one cable, electronics, speakers etc. sound better than others. Maybe my system is AQ friendly...:)
