Anybody ever tried cleaning old vinyls with ultrasound cleaning machine?

The guy in the linked page below did an experiment in cleaning old dirty vinyls. He cleaned the records with carbon brush, water, alcohol, dish-washing detergent and analyse the results with his Hitachi electronic microscope. None of the fluid can clean the minute particles buried deep in the groove although most of the grease are gone.

He finally cleaned the disc with an industrial ultrasound cleaning machine and all the particles are gone as shown in the last picture. The problem is whether all the ticks and pops are gone together with the particles. He didn't mention it.

I would appreciate any similar experience in ultrasound cleaning of vinyls, be it DIY or using sophisticated instruments.
