I'm afraid this is a case of: "I don't knoiw anything about the question you asked, but let me tell you about something I do know about."In the early 70's Marantz had a very successful line of speakers in nice walnut veneer cabinets with ribbed foam grills. All had single digit model numbers 5, 6, 7, etc. The 7 was a look and sound alike copy of the JBL L-100 and very popular as a result, but at about 2/3 the price of the JBL. A real good rock and pop music speaker. The 6 was a 10" 2-way with a CTS phenolic ring tweeter in an acoustic suspension box. Sort of Advent like, and good sounding. The 5 was an 8" 2-way. Any of these were good units and would be worth refoaming.
Later models had 3 digit model numbers and were not up to the standard of the single digit models in terms of refinement of sound. They seemed instead to go for big cabinets, lots of drivers, and a forward punchy sound with a big muddy bottom. Numbers like 770 or 880 as I remember. My guess is that the model you mention is from the later group, but i really don't know for sure.
