My turn to help-out a fellow forum member here if I can,,,,I know the orginal posting was late last month, so I thought I would begin this new thread. Anyway, according to my 1979 Speaker "Buyers-Guide" handbook, the 312's sold for $300....unfortunatly it doesnt specify if that was per-speaker, or per pair... They contain a 12" woof., 6" midrange, and a horn tweet..Listed response is 30-17k +- 4db, and are listed as being 100db at 1w1m. Controls are present for the midrange and tweeter, and max power is listed as 150 watts continous..:) The features are claimed to be "A Hardrocker. designed for dynamic reproduction of pop, rock and jazz....:)IMHO it sounds as though You made quite a find....For the small price of a refoaming-kit You and your boys could have a great pair of "classic" 70's West-Coast speakers...I have always liked vintage CV speakers..You can expect big-bass and lots of it, dynamic mids, and fairly extended highs, although not "sparkly" or airy as some more modern tweets...Plus, you can drive them with a few watts....Not the most "accurate" speakers around mind-you..but they make alot of music "fun"...Just the thing for some enjoyable non-critical listening:) ...At head-banging levels...:) Hope I was able to help you out some, Dave
