Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
I read somewhere ( possibly this forum ) that 6cg7/6fq7's could be replaced with 6dj8's, although none of the tube substitution books or web sites mention this.
Sooo, I replaced a pair of noisey 6cg7 driver's in my trusty, rusty Moscode 300 with some nice old Tungsram 6dj8's I had knockin' around in the tube shoebox. They seem to be working, much quieter. But am I doing harm to the Moscode?
What differentiates the 6cg7 from the 6dj8?
Thanks in advance.
