I second Rob's recommendation. I should have mentioned these two dealers along with John Rutan's Audio Connection. David Wilson of Accent on Music is a Linn/Naim man (and the best turntable setup guru in the business) -- you will get a point of view. David used to work for Rudy Kothe, of Definitive Audio. While Rudy sold Watt puppies and Krell, David sold Creek, Epos and Spendor. Drove Rudy nuts -- David would spend an hour with a customer to sell a $500 integrated amp. But David was smart -- he built a loyal customer base.Frank Huang of Audio Outlet is very personable, has great gear, offers fair prices. I suggest you call for an appointment and avoid the busiest hours. Go at a quiet time and you can have the store to yourself for a couple of hours!
As someone else mentioned, both stores are an easy walk from the train station -- Audio Outlet is practically across the street. Lots of nice restaurants in Mt. Kisco. Breeze over to Borders for a cappucino or go to the Luna for dinner. Relax. Beats shopping in NYC any day.
