for the MM 9000I was leary about purchasing a home theatre power amp at first. My expectations of its sonic limitations in 2 channel weren't very high. But after hearing this amp my original apprehension has dissappeared. The most intriguing thing i found about this amp is its ability to run you digital equipment direct, by-passing the use of any pre amplification. This can be done by using the Thx level controls that are situated in the back of the amp. They act as a passive preamp stage allowing for direct connection of your dvd or cd player. The frontal slam experience is phenomenal especially if you run you sub at line level between your dvd and amp, using your front two channels as a crossover.
