I've never lived my life worrying about the resale value of anything. Not about to start now.
My wife and I have no intentions of moving to Florida or anything like that. If this house goes up for sale, it'll mean I'm either dead or unable to feed myself, and in either case I'm not going to care if it's worth $300,000 or $250,000.
