"An impressive investigation Sunday on CBS's "60 Minutes" aired evidence tying so-called Havana Syndrome to an elite Russian intelligence unit."Yup, that 60 Minutes video is getting some good reviews in top publications! But here? Nobody except Abe mentioned that they actually viewed the video. That notwithstanding, opinions here are thick! More than a dozen people replied. Some caustic replies too! "Infotainment" "No meat on the bones". "I would not trust 60 Minutes".
As if you guys can make good judgement without actually having sampled the thing under discussion!
Plenty of smart people in this forum. But many have been harpooned by social media. Quick on the draw with opinions. Stated with authority! And with as few words as possible! Brain bites! Inarticulate brain mumblings! None of it substantive, but all very convenient. Because it's just too much damned trouble nowadays. To read up on a subject. Find facts. Have informed discussion. Write a paragraph or two. And maybe change someone's mind.
I'm gonna get blowback for saying this stuff. But I don't care. Have at it.
