Or four times the OPEC monthly increase. This is a lot of oil. It does not supply the US for 3 days, it changes the supply/demand quotient over a period of time. And we hopefully aren't the only nation doing this.
There are some very good articles about how/why this works. It isn't an instantaneous change, if you search strategic oil reserves and supply/demand you should find some good articles about it.
