Yeah, let's not build new nuclear plants with new technology and better designs, let's just keep running the old 1960s technology ones until they all fail. Yeah, that's a great idea! NOT!
Looking at the history of the anti-nuke movement, it's clear that the "fringe" liberals/environmentalists/save the planet folks of the 1960s and 1970s have not gone away. Rather, they and their offspring have invaded Democrat positions in government, school systems, industry, and media, and they're still promoting and pushing their ideology. An ideology which increases the cost of everything, and enriches those who profit from it.
