Some good points there. The thing which irritates me is that, yes, the U.S. has many problems with highways, electric grid, power generation, etc., ALL OF WHICH already have a budget for maintenance! AND, every city, county, and state submits a budget every year to the appropriate entity, whether it be the city council, county board of commissioners or state legislature, which includes what they want for the coming year or years. AND, for special projects, propositions are put on a ballot for the citizenry and often includes a bond proposal.
So, everything at the city, county and state level is already covered. So, why does the President and some members of Congress want to spend yet another however many trillions of dollars on "infrastructure" and "roads and bridges"?? I can guarantee you that there is a LOT more to the "infrastructure" bill than they're telling us. And that pisses me off, because they think we're a bunch of morons and they can just put on a show which looks/sounds good to the actual morons who vote for these snakes/a-holes.
