There are just a few others ...me included. No ugly couches in my house or ugly clothes in my closet. Design matters.
As for watches being easy to steal ...cars are easy to crash, yet we all have one. Maybe you should consider insurance? Buy the right watch and if it gets stolen you'll get more money back for it than you paid.
Below is a picture I took of a watch after wearing it daily for about five years. I wore it while riding, hiking, painting, chopping wood, playing softball, trimming trees, driving golf balls, etc.
A quick rub down with a Cape Cod cloth and it looked like new and with a perfect crystal. Built like a tank ...form follows function.
