I grew up in the Chicago suburbs. Portillos Italian Beef Sandwiches were a part of life. After I moved away I tried to replicate it a couple of times.

This kit is great, but you must follow the instructions carefully and not boil/overcook the meat. I have sent this to a lot of my fellow exChicagoans and its always a hit.

Notes

- It is a little expensive.
- The Lou Maltani's frozen pizza does not taste like home. Not recommended.
