Case Screws

I did factory authorized service for Kenwood back in the day ('70s - '80s). Damaged screw heads are a sure sign that an amateur has taken it apart, and it devalues the unit IMO.

One common problem for many receivers of that era was that the TO-220 regulator transistors run too hot. They can actually melt the solder over a few years time and lose contact.
