The only caveat to switching from electrolytic to film (other than cost) is that the film capacitors will have a lower ESR, so they will be brighter. However, if I remember correctly the CS-77A and the CS-88 have L-pads on the tweeters and mids, so that won't be a problem. Even if they didn't, you could always add resistance. The CS-77A is a later model and supposed to be a big improvement over the non-A models. Have fun! If the base is weak, you might want to try Bold Eagle's resistor trick.
