RE: 3rd time's a charm(I hope)

My introduction to HiFi was a neighbor's JBL C34 Harkness, a corner-loaded horn. That was in the mid-50s before stereo. He had designed a two chassis amp with a separate power supply and tubes that blinked whenever there was a loud passage. I was probably 18 and thought the C34 very handsome, but that may have been because the sound was such a revelation.
