Start with web searches on google and yahoo. Visit technical libraries and college libraries that have electronics courses.
Find out where the IEEE is in your area. NYC has a great Broadcasting Museum, if you are near. The IEEE used to have the best library in the country, in NYC.
College raido stations can be very helpful, especially long lasting stations. Bogen might still be in the Paramus, NJ area.
When you say late '50s, are you interested in their early stereo efforts ? That will be difficult info, but not impossible, to locate, as Bogen only offered certain stereo stuff for a very short time. Good Luck...
