My crackly old 636 finally killed one of my Sansui LM-330's. The Sansui retaliated (I think), frying the right channel of the 636. There was visible smoke. I'll probably write off the speakers, but I'm really fond of the receiver and I'd like to take a crack at fixing it. Any hints as to where to look first would be most appreciated. FYI, speaker protection fuses are intact. Also, any information on cap replacement (links to articles?) would be appreciated as well. I've heard that old caps may be the cause of the crackling (this is not switch crackle, but tended to happen a short time after powering on/off).
