How far are you from your stations?In a deep fringe situation, you ideally want a directional array, a rotator if the target stations spread is more than 5 to 10 degrees, and a RG-11 or twisted 300 ohm downlead. Where required, it's often better to put the matching balun on the tuner end. I would also try to get higher up than 25 feet, as height will be critical for long distance capture. Keep it a simple downlead run, with a minimum of splices. Don't even think about amplification unless the total run will exceed 100 feet. I'd bypass the internal trailer wiring completely (which could be a bottomless loss pit) and use a dedicated new run.
While an RS model is not my first antenna choice for harder DXing, it should be at least serviceable for a season or two. Try to move up to a commercial grade model for better longevity.
